Went here for the first time today. So glad I did. Great food and great staff! If they hadn't already won me over with their lunch. They would have with their dessert!

Never really disappointed. Pretty consistent over the past 12 years..... Occasionally the food could be hotter in temperature... But overall clean, good staff attentive... Desserts are awesome.....

This place is absolutely AWESOME! After eating here once last night, I got hooked! I went there again tonight and I am planning on going again tomorrow ^_^ The staff is super friendly and make you feel right at home. The wait for the food is NOT long at all, so don't listen to the haters out there. Their sandwiches are to die for and their pasta makes you say "Olive Garden who?" You can't even stop when you're full; you will want to finish every last bite.

We've come here many times but today was different. The service was OK. The pita tastes like dog food. The hummus wasn't really good. The spinach knish (never had it before) tasted terrible and I've been to NY and know what they should taste like. The Greek Wrap was good, just too big.

We really enjoy visiting this location. The food is always delicious and the service (esp June) is always wonderful. We usually go at lunchtime and have found the sandwiches to be reasonably priced and very filling. The fries are always hot and crispy as well! Today we headed to TooJays for breakfast. If more than five minutes passed between placing our order and getting it delivered to our table, I'd be shocked. I had a cheese omelette with sides of bacon and home fries and a bagel. The omelette had the right amount of cheese: it was there, but it wasn't the only thing you could taste. The home fries were perfect: crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. They were topped with onions and peppers. The bacon was perfectly crispy and of good quality as well. It wasn't all fat! The bagels are made on the premises and my poppy seed bagel was smothered in poppy seeds and it was heavenly! My husband had the nova salmon and onions with eggs. The salmon was plentiful and he said it was great! Highly recommend this restaurant as a nice alternative to your traditional Cracker Barrel. Hot, fresh food, served with a smile and some tasty coffee too!

One of my favorite places to eat at. The breakfast combo platter is enough to share with another person, which is what I usually do. Chicken and waffles are the best but they're only served during breakfast. There's so many good dishes that I could list. If you still have room for dessert after all the delicious food you just ate, you must order the carrot cake... It's amazing!

Been coming for years, just a reminder of how much we enjoy the place. Michael our server was genuinely fun and friendly and the food as usual was terrific. Minor mix up on our order which was quickly and cheerfully/apologetically fixed. We don't know of a better deli style restaurant in the Orlando area and I've been to this location and the one on Colonial with equally good experiences. Take some cake or cookies home..or some salads..or the terrific rye bread! 4 and a half stars for sure.

Great place! Get the Cheese Blintzes! I would also say that per Florida's standards, this restaurant is pretty good. Against actual culinary towns, say Atlanta, NY, DC, LA, or SF, it just doesn't come close. Sorry, call me a snob for great food, but this place just tastes like a chain restaurant. When considering just Florida though, it's fantastic food and always a good choice. Service is always friendly, the price is right, and the establishment is always clean. If I'm in Florida, I'd come back again.

I was surprised to see the interior of this TooJays. It is one other smallest locations I have ever seen. Even tho, it was good to see they were doing a brisk business. The store manager sat us quickly and our server Marlene dropped off menus promptly. We ordered the pastrami sandwich, one blintz and one potato pancake. The store appeared to be clean but a bit dingy. The quality of the pastrami sandwich was excellent as usual. The blintz was good as well as the blueberry compote. The potato pancake however was another story as it was so over cooked that it bordered on that line of burnt. When you taste that familiar charcoal taste you know it's not going to be good. I was very disappointed. The service was just okay. Nothing special like you would normally receive in a Toojays. No suggestive selling, wasn't told the specials nor the soups of the day, etc. We were handed our check and that was it. Upon leaving I checked our their deli case possibly looking for something to take home with me. I was looking at the chopped liver but one look and I knew something was wrong with the quality. There were medium size lumps in it which is never a good sign. Current health inspection: 1 critical & 1 at risk violation.

Decided to try a late lunch on 4/7/15 as the restaurant billed itself as a 'Jewish cafeteria'. Ordered the pastrami sandwich, tea, and fruit. Food was good. Service was awful. Never got a drink refill. Wasn't asked if I wanted dessert, which I did, until the check came. Very impersonal server. I might try again, but wouldn't go out of my way due to their service.

Only place in town for matzo ball soup. My go to is always sandwiches and soup or fries. Can't leave without taking cake home with me.

Five star service from the hostess and from my waiter who was very friendly and very helpful and did a great job. I especially appreciated the fork he put in my to go bag! So I started off with a stuffed cabbage. Just like grammy used to make. A nice sweet tomato sauce poured over cabbage leaves that were wrapped around a ground beef and rice stuffing. Very tasty and a nice size for an appetizer. My main course was the whitefish salad on a toasted everything bagel. Man, I love their whitefish here. It's very tasty and while they warn on the menu that there might be small bones, mine has never had any in there. A little salty, a lot fishy and a very large portion. Very, very good. And yep, I chose a dessert to go. Carrot cake. A good sized portion that had a nice moist cake and the walnuts were great. Maybe too much icing, but I'm not an icing fan compared to others. Service: Great Food: Very good Price: Excellent I like Toojays!

So sorry to hear that you've sold out to corporate in hopes of going national. I wondered why the crowds got thinner...your menu has changed; no more soup or salad with an entree. And the food quality has really gone down fast, and the prices have gone up. The chicken tenders were so brined that the salt water was all I could taste, the stuffed chicken was horrible looking as well as horrible tasting. You've lost a long time customer. Bye bye 2J's

Good place for chicken and waffles or a nice green salad. Service was nice, but not great. We had to raise our voice to get refills and our check. Not the fastest service either but they were pretty busy at 1 on Sunday.

Average, we have eaten at Toojays all over Florida the one in Lake Mary is hit or miss at best. Can't ever seem to deliver hot food from kitchen. Always winding up sending cold food esp breakfast back to the point where we banned Toojays til we go back to Palm Beach. Also found gum attached to bottom of booth. Kitchen must be run by transplanted Waffle House line cooks that put anything on a plate. Sad...

Service: good Food: bad Meatloaf should be aptly named "LoafMeat". My mama never made anything that looked like that. Mashed potatoes? If you count potato flakes as "mashed".... And the broccoli was on my plate was pleading "just kill me....finish it!" Only redeeming grace was the Jewish rye bread....fresh, soft and delicious. No need to come here unless you know something I don't.

The California wrap & black and white cookies are the best. Will definitely be returning.

Usually have the corned beef sandwich which I like. Last time I had the pastrami and was disappointed. It was tough. I've never had matzo ball soup, but was curious since I've heard if it. Oh my, this was the best soup ever. Just right blend of seasonings. I will order it every time I'm here. Servers are always friendly and I enjoy eating here. Tried to learn a little at the front counter about their catering, but the woman at the counter wasn't very helpful.
